NEW YORK, N.Y. – Juniors Lizzie Win (Sylvania, Ohio) and Carolina Ronchel Salas (Huelva, Spain) were named to the All-BIG EAST Team as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Win was named to the All-BIG EAST Team for a third straight year. The junior is coming off her best year so far, having shaved nearly a full stroke off her average and finishing second in the BIG EAST Conference with 74.92 strokes per round. Her scoring is also the lowest single-year average in Seton Hall history, becoming the first Pirate to average under 75.00.
Win notched season-highs with six top-10 finishes, three top-5 finishes and won her first career individual title, a two-stroke victory at the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational in the fall. Most recently, she was named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament team for a second straight year after finishing as the runner-up at the 2019 BIG EAST Championship at Callawassie Island.
Ronchel Salas made an immediate impact for Seton Hall, earning All-BIG EAST status in her first year as a Pirate since transferring from LIU- Brooklyn. The native of Spain averaged an impressive 75.92 strokes per round, which was good for seventh-best in the BIG EAST Conference. Ronchel Salas tallied three top-10 finishes and one top-5 finish. Her top score for the year was a tie for sixth place after shooting a 2-over-par, 76-71-147, at the Princeton Invitational during the fall season. Most recently, she tied for fourth place at the 2019 BIG EAST Championship, which qualified her for the All-Tournament Team.
