Pirates Sign Angus O'Brien for 2021-22

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall men's golf Head Coach Clay White announced today that Angus O'Brien (Barwon Heads, Australia) has signed a National Letter of Intent and will play golf for the University beginning in the fall of 2021.

A member and captain of the Geelong Grammar School golf team that won the 2018 Geelong Independent School Association Golf Championship, O'Brien has been a force on the Australian junior amateur scene the last three years. The 2019 Cathedral Golf Club champion, he has claimed titles at the Golf Australia Junior Tournament, Geelong Junior Open and Ocean Grove Golf Club Junior Open.

Stateside, he went 2-for-2 in qualifying for American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) events on a 2019 trip to the U.S. and was the overall winner following a 72-75-147 at the Johnny Miller Junior Classic at Silverado Resort in Napa Valley.

O'Brien brings extensive international experience to a team that already features talented student-athletes from China, England, Malaysia and the Philippines.
