Two-game losing streaks in college basketball apparently can send people into a tizzy!
But as always, the key to anything is understanding the facts. Of the teams ranked in the KenPom top 30, 22 of them have had at least one two-game losing streak this season. That's 73 percent of the teams in that top 30, which of course, includes Seton Hall.
So Seton Hall shares a boat with many other high-ranking institutions. And lest we forget the Pirates are still in first place in the BIG EAST with a 10-3 record and they still have won 12 of their last 15 games.
Of course there are optics to deal with and a three-game losing streak in February certainly isn't a great optic. So the Pirates need to come out Wednesday with the same defensive intensity they've had in all their big wins this season. Even despite some of the recent lapses, this is still a Seton Hall squad that is holding opponents to 39 percent shooting overall and 30 percent shooting from three.

Three Things to Know About Wednesday's Ranked vs. Ranked Game
Â
1. Kamar Baldwin Will Get His...What About the Others?
Kamar Baldwin is having a season fit for first-team All-BIG EAST consideration (if not already a lock) as well as consideration for All-America. He's going to get his points. For Seton Hall, it's a matter of how to keep the other shooters at bay. In the first matchup, the Pirates held Sean McDermott to 2-for-7 from three, but the Pirates must beware; McDermott can go off for big numbers when he's hot. At Georgetown, he was 7-for-10 from downtown and finished with 25 points.
Â
2. More Threes Not Necessarily a Good Thing
Sometimes it's obvious that when you're losing a game, you are apt to shoot more threes to climb back into the game. The Pirates have gotten a little trigger happy of late with 59 attempts over the last two games. In their 18 wins this season, they average 21.8 attempts. In their seven losses, they average 28.3 attempts. Can The Hall find the right balance of perimeter shooting and driving to the basket?
 Â
3. Stand Up to Cancer
For the second year in a row, Seton Hall auctioned off shooting shirts to fans who wanted to put names of loved ones battling cancer on the backs. The Pirates will wear these shirts during warmups and when sitting on the bench. You can help Seton Hall stand up to cancer by making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
