
Win, Kness Fueling Pirates Through Two Rounds at UNF

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Senior Lizzie Win (Sylvania, Ohio) is 4-over-par through two rounds and has led the Seton Hall women's golf team to a third place standing at the UNF Collegiate entering Tuesday's final round.

Win has fired a pair of 2-over-par, 74's, through two rounds. Her first round featured four birdies, while round two included 14 pars. Currently, Win is tied for sixth place among 87 individual golfers. She trails the individual leader, UNF's Teresa Conroy by six strokes with 18 holes remaining.

As a team, the Pirates shot a 12-over-par, 300, in the morning, followed by a 16-over-par, 304, in the afternoon. The Hall is currently in third place with a 28-over-par, 300-304-604. North Florida is the team leader at 13-over-par. The Pirates lead their only BIG EAST competition, Georgetown by 22 strokes.

Junior Mia Kness (Venetia, Pa.) used four birdies to shoot a 1-over-par, 73, in the first round. She had 13 pars in the afternoon in route to a 5-over-par, 77. Through two rounds, Kness is tied for 11th place with a 73-77-150.

Senior Carolina Ronchel Salas (Huelva, Spain) shot a pair of 5-over-par, 77's. Through two rounds, she is tied for 31st with a 10-over-par, 77-77-154.

Rounding out the Pirate lineup, both Sammie Staudt (Coatesville, Pa.) and Maddie Sager (Phoenixville, Pa.) are tied for 37th at 11-over-par. Staudt finished with a 79-76-155, while Sager was the exact opposite at 76-79-155.

The field will play two continuous rounds on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The Pirates will be paired with golfers from Chattanooga and North Florida for the first two rounds. The field will play one final round on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m.
