Congratulations to Our Seniors!

South Orange, N.J. - This week, Seton Hall Athletics graduated 61 outstanding seniors who have completed their degrees at the University. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, commencement was moved to a #SetonHall2020Â virtual celebration.Â
This year's graduating class consists of student-athletes from all 14 varsity sports, many of whom have earned All-BIG EAST honors for their competitive efforts and most of whom have earned at least one BIG EAST All-Academic team recognition.
Seniors Anniek Jansen (Naarden, Netherlands) of the tennis team and Steven Catudal (Berlin, Germany) graduate as the department's Senior Scholar-Athletes of the Year. Senior Myles Powell (Trenton, N.J.) of the men's basketball team, one of the most decorated Pirates of all time, was named the Male Athlete of the Year. Seniors Michal Matson (Christchurch, New Zealand) of the tennis team and Kat Matthys (Spring Branch, Texas) of the softball team were named co-recipients of the Most Valuable Pirate award.
Numerous seniors will also be named recipients of the department's Academic Merit Award for maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. That list will be generated in the coming weeks.

Please note: This list may include spring sport student-athletes who choose to use the NCAA COVID-19 waiver to gain back an extra year of eligibility and thus will be returning in 2020-21.
