May Senior Spotlight Series: Sammie Staudt
5/27/2020 9:00:00 AM | Women's Golf
Since this would have been Seton Hall's graduation month, we will highlight our seniors as part of our "May Senior Spotlight Series." Powered by Under Armour, we engaged select seniors with a little question and answer session about their time at The Hall.   Â
SAMMIE STAUDT
WOMEN'S GOLF
Sammie Staudt (Coatesville, Pa.) was in the midst of the best year of her collegiate career when it was cut short in March, and it provided a perfect cap to a stellar four-year career. As a senior, she averaged 75.60 strokes per round, which is more than a two-stroke improvement from her junior year and ranked ninth in the BIG EAST Conference. Three of her four sub-par rounds came as a senior, as were two of her three career top-5 finishes, including a career-best 3-under-par, 68-73-141, at the Princeton Invitational. Her second place finish at Penn State earned her BIG EAST Golfer of the Week.Â
Â
Off the course, Staudt has been just as impressive in the classroom. A three-time Academic All-BIG EAST selection, she is a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar and was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Scholar-Athlete Honor Society.
