
Pirates Earn GCAA Special Recognition Academic Award

NORMAN, OKLA. – The Seton Hall men's golf team was named an All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), and furthermore, received the President's Special Recognition.

The University of Kentucky posted the highest overall team GPA for all divisions with a 3.89. A total of 250 teams submitted GPAs of 3.00 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition.

A total of 95 teams nationwide, across all divisions, received President's Special Recognition status for having team GPAs of 3.5 or better. Seton Hall is one of only two BIG EAST Conference programs to earn the impressive distinction, joining only Villanova. The Pirates maintained an impressive 3.66 grade point average during the 2019-20 academic year.

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
