
Student-Athletes to Participate in RISE to Vote Workshop on Sept. 17

South Orange, N.J. - All Seton Hall student-athletes will participate in their first #HALLin This TOGETHER initiative on Thursday, Sept. 17, when they participate in a civic engagement workshop with RISE (Ross Initiative in Sports For Equality) called "RISE to Vote." The workshop will take place virtually.
The objective of the civic engagement examines the ways that student-athletes can get involved and make an impact in their community, all through the lens of sports. The objective of RISE to Vote is to share the importance of voting and encourage the role of athletes in civic engagement and as a champions of change.
The workshop will include an introduction to RISE, an overview of civic engagement, an overview of TurboVote, the platform that Seton Hall uses to register voters, and a period for Q&A.
