
Raygan Murray Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The Pirate libero averaged 5.33 digs per set last weekend in a pair of BIG EAST contests.
NEW YORK –Seton Hall's Raygan Murray (Rocky River, Ohio) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Murray was a defensive stalwart for the Pirates in a pair of BIG EAST matches last weekend. The libero led The Hall with 5.33 digs per set for the pair of contests. In Friday's three-set sweep of Xavier, Murray had 16 digs to go along with six assists. Against Butler on Saturday, she again tallied a match-high 16 digs.

St. John's Rachele Rastelli was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Butler's Melody Davidson earned Defensive Player of the Week. Creighton's Norah Sis earned Freshman of the Week honors. Joining Murray on the Weekly Honor Roll are Connecticut's Caylee Parker, Creighton's Annika Welty, Marquette's Savannah Rennie and Providence's Shaliyah Rhoden.

Seton Hall will return to action next weekend when its heads back on the road to play a pair of BIG EAST opponents. On Friday, The Hall will make the short trip to Villanova for a 4:30 p.m. match. On Saturday, the Pirates will travel to Washington, D.C. for a date at Georgetown. That one begins at 5:00 p.m.
