
Jakubowski Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The Pirate setter collected a pair of double-doubles last week, including a 27-assist, 21-dig outburst against Providence.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Taylor Jakubowski (Lake in the Hills, Ill.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Jakubowski was a force both offensively and defensively for the Pirates last week in a pair BIG EAST Conference matches. The Pirate setter collected a rare 20/20 double-double in a thrilling five-set victory over Providence on Friday. Jakubowski collected a season-high 27 assists to go with a career-high 21 digs. She was also 3-for-3 in kill attempts. On Saturday, Jakubowski had another double-double, registering team-highs with 12 assists and 10 digs in only three sets against No. 16 Creighton.

St. John's Rachele Rastelli was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Marquette's Carsen Murray earned Defensive Player of the Week. Providence's Shaliyah Rhoden earned Freshman of the Week honors. Joining Jakubowski on the Weekly Honor Roll are Butler's Marissa McKelvey, Georgetown's Jessica Cusi, Providence's Allison Barber and Xavier's Carrgan O'Reilly.

Seton Hall will return to action this weekend when it heads back on the road for a pair of BIG EAST contests in the Midwest. The Pirates will head to Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday for a match at Xavier at 6:00 p.m. before visiting Butler in Indianapolis on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.Â
