Perri Lucas Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Lucas led Seton Hall with 3.57 kills per set last week and lifted the Pirates to a pair of victories.
NEW YORK –Seton Hall's Perri Lucas (Chicago, Ill.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Lucas turned in one of the best weekend of her young career at Seton Hall, leading the Pirates with 3.57 kills per set. On Saturday against Connecticut, Lucas erupted for a season-high 16 kills, with only four attack errors, and a .343 attack percentage. She helped the Pirates upset the Huskies in four sets. On Sunday, Lucas had a team-best nine kills, only two attack errors and a .389 attack percentage in a three-set road sweep at St. John's. She also had five blocks and a pair of digs.

Connecticut's Caylee Parker was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while DePaul's Rachel Krasowski earned Defensive Player of the Week. Creighton's Norah Sis earned Freshman of the Week honors. Joining Lucas on the Weekly Honor Roll are Butler's Melody Davidson, DePaul's Hanna Karl, Georgetown's Elissa Barbosa and Marquette's Hope Werch.

Seton Hall will return to action next weekend when it closes out the regular season on the road for two BIG EAST matches. The Pirates will travel to Omaha for a match at Creighton on Friday, Nov. 19. They'll wrap up the season at Providence on Sunday, Nov. 21.
