The Pirate has now been honored twice with the prestigious weekly distinction.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall graduate student Margot Bechadergue (Aix-En-Province, France) was named BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
Â
It's the second time she's received the impressive distinction this season.
Â
Seton Hall has played in only two tournaments so far this fall and Margot Bechadergue has been named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week after each. Her latest recognition comes after a stellar performance at the Princeton Invitational last weekend. Bechadergue had only two blemishes on an otherwise dazzling final round, a bogey on the par-5, No. 4 hole, and a double-bogey on the par-4, No. 16 hole. She had three birdies and 13 pars in route to an even-par, 72, the top Pirate round of the day. For the tournament, she finished at 1-over-par with a 69-76-72-217. Bechadergue tied for sixth place among 70 individual golfers for her second straight top-10 finish in as many tournaments as a Pirate.
Â
The Pirates will return to the course on Oct. 16-17 for three rounds of golf at the Delaware Lady Blue Hen Invitational at Rohoboth Beach Country Club.
