The Hall will play five tournaments this fall.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall Head Coach Natalie Desjardins announced the 2022 Seton Hall women's golf fall schedule on Monday. The Pirates will participate in five tournaments this fall.
Â
Seton Hall will open the 2022-23 year with the Yale Invitational, Sept. 10-11. The three-round event will be at the University's own, Yale Golf Course in New Haven. The Pirates last played at Yale during the fall of the 2018 season and placed third with a 46-over-par, 310-299-289-898. Former Pirate Lizzie Win tied for ninth among all individuals at 9-over-par.
Â
The following week, The Hall will return to a staple of its fall schedule, the Nittany Lion Invitational. The three-round tournament hosted by Penn State will take place on the University's Blue Course, Sept. 17-18. This is the fifth straight fall that the Pirates have visited State College (with a break in 2020 due to COVID-19). Last fall, Seton Hall placed fifth in a 14-team field with a 12-over-par, 296-284-296-876, which set the program record for a par-72, three-round tournament. Among returnees, Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) and Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) tied for 21st place at 5-over-par.
Â
In a busy start to September, the Pirates will stay local at Springdale Country Club for three rounds of golf at the Princeton Invitational, Sept. 24-25. It will be the 10th time in 13 years that the Pirates have participated in the event.  Most recently, Seton Hall placed third in a field of 13 teams last fall with a 19-over-par, 292-291-300-883. Fouratt tied for 13th at 6-over-par. Seton Hall won the team title at this event in 2019.
Â
After a few weeks break from tournament play, the Pirates will travel to Greenville, N.C. for a new event, the Pirate Collegiate Classic, hosted by East Carolina University. The three-round tournament will be held at Greenville Country Club, Oct. 10-11.
Â
Finally, the Pirates will conclude play in the fall with another familiar tournament, the Lady Blue Hen Invitational, Oct. 15-16, at Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Del. Hosted by the University of Delaware, the Pirates placed ninth last fall in a 12-team field following a 63-over-par, 312-305-310-927. Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) paced The Hall at 10-over-par. This will be the sixth time in the last eight years playing the event for Seton Hall. The Pirates claimed the team title in 2018.
