Omaha, Neb. - Junior Femi Odukale (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a team-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor but it wasn't enough as the Seton Hall men's basketball team fell to Creighton, 83-61, in front of 16,592 at CHI Health Center Omaha.
Senior Tray Jackson (Detroit, Mich.) chipped in with 11 points off the bench for the Pirates (8-8, 1-4 BIG EAST).
How It Happened
Senior Al-Amir Dawes (Newark, N.J.) scored five of the Pirates' first seven points including a stepback jumper that gave The Hall a 7-4 lead under five minutes into the game. Creighton used an 18-3 run that pushed their lead past double-digits and they wouldn't relinquish.
Despite a jumper by junior Kadary Richmond (Brooklyn, N.Y.) on the first possession of the second half that cut the deficit to 19, 43-24, it didn't spark any momentum. Seton Hall limited Creighton to only three three-point baskets in the second half but it wasn't enough as the Bluejays came away with the win.
