Notes You Need To Know
- Coming off of a bounce back victory over Monmouth at Prudential Center on Tuesday night, the Seton Hall men's basketball team is back on the road again for its final non-conference road test of the season as the Pirates face Missouri at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
- KenPom denotes this game as a "semi-away" contest for The Hall, which has played in only four other such games the last 25 seasons:
11/7/98 vs. Indiana - RCA Dome (Indianapolis, Ind.) - 69-83 L
11/20/01 vs. Chaminade - Lahaina Civic Center (Lahaina, Maui) - 74-62 W
11/30/02 vs. Texas - Reliant Stadium (Houston, Texas) - 61-78 L
12/6/16 vs. Hawai'i - Bloch Arena (Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Oahu) - 68-57 W
- Seton Hall is 1-0 all-time against Missouri with the lone meeting in the series coming in the second round of the 1992 NCAA Tournament in Greensboro, N.C., an 88-71 victory for Seton Hall.
- The Pirates' last meeting against a team from the SEC was their 84-83 overtime victory over Kentucky at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 8, 2018.
- Head coach Shaheen Holloway's last game that he coached against an SEC team was his Saint Peter's team's 85-79 upset victory over second-seeded Kentucky in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
Seton Hall vs. SEC since 2015-16
12/8/18 vs. Kentucky (New York, N.Y.) - 84-83 (ot) W
11/24/17 vs. Vanderbilt (Brooklyn, N.Y.) - 72-59 W
3/17/17 vs. Arkansas (Greenville, S.C.) - 71-77 L
12/12/16 vs. South Carolina (New York, N.Y.) - 67-64 W
11/24/16 vs. Florida (Orlando, Fla.) - 76-81 L
11/28/15 vs. Georgia (Newark, N.J.) - 69-62 W
11/22/15 vs. Mississippi (Charleston, S.C.) - 75-63 W
- Thanks to a season-best 17-0 run in the first half with four non-starters on floor that gave Seton Hall a 16-point lead, the Pirates got by Monmouth, 70-61, on Tuesday night.
- Isaiah Coleman, a two-time BIG EAST Freshman of the Week selection, posted a team-high 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor.
- His 17 points was the most for a Seton Hall freshman since Sandro Mamukelashvili scored 17 points at Xavier on Feb. 14, 2018.
- Coleman is the first Seton Hall freshman to earn multiple BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors since Khadeen Carrington, Angel Delgado and Isaiah Whitehead all accomplished the feat in 2014-15.
- Jaden Bediako posted 11 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season, which ranks second in the BIG EAST and 45th nationally.
- Bediako continues to blossom offensively for The Hall in scoring averaging 10.1 points per game and on the glass as he averages 3.9 offensive rebounds per game, a clip that ranks second in the BIG EAST and eighth nationally.
- Bediako ranks fifth in Division I in offensive rebounding percentage (19.1 pct).
- Kadary Richmond has 286 assists in his three seasons at Seton Hall, which is tied for 20th on the program's career assists list.
- Richmond is 14 assists away from becoming just the 15th Pirate to register 300 career dimes.
- A welcome sight for the Pirates has been the return of Elijah Hutchins-Everett, who missed five games with a concussion.
- Hutchins-Everett returned at No. 6 Baylor where he grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and he followed that up with a six-point, three-rebound showing in 16 minutes against Rutgers.
- Al-Amir Dawes ranks 20th among active players in Division I in career three-point field goals made with 276.
