Pirates Wrap Up Day One at BIG EAST Championships

East Meadow, N.Y. - Â The Seton Hall women's swimming and diving team opened the 2023 BIG EAST Championships on Wednesday night with a pair of relay races.
First in the 800 Free Relay, Natalie Heim (Middletown, N.J.), Amanda Zajdzinski (Mesa, Ariz.), Allie Waggoner (Moorestown, N.J.) AND Madeleine Bachand (Raleigh, N.C.) swam a time of 7:27.16 to take fourth place. Next in the 200 Medley Relay, Julie Stampe (Allerod-Birkerod, Denmark), Nicole Bastian (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), Sierra Cripps (Seymour, Conn.) AND Lea Moeller (New Lenox, Ill.) combined to touch the wall in 1:44.55 to round out the night.
The Pirates find themselves in fourth place after night one of action with a total of 100 points.

The Pirates are back it for day two of the BIG EAST Championships on Thursday. Tomorrow's schedule of events includes the 500 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free, women's 3-meter dive and the 200 Free Relay. The championships are being streamed live on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSwimming.
