
Fouratt Even-Par After Round One at Rivertowne

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Graduate student Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) fired an even-par, 72, to power the Seton Hall women's golf team in round one of the Rivertowne Invitational on Sunday.

Fouratt was fantastic on Sunday, using three birdies and 12 pars to fuel her even-par round. She's currently tied for 17th place among 103 individual golfers after 18 holes. Five players share the individual lead at 3-under-par.

As a team, The Hall shot a 16-over-par, 304, in round one and is in 17th place in the large field of 19 teams. Boston College currently leads the field at 3-under-par after 18 holes.

The Italian connection of Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) and Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy) both shot a 5-over-par, 77, on Sunday. Busetto had three birdies and 11 pars, while Zavagli tallied two birdies and nine pars.

Sophomore Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) shot a 6-over-par, 78, in round one, but had the top individual hole of the tournament so far for the Pirates. Sarrias Pro collected an eagle on the par-5, No. 3 hole.

Only one stroke behind Sarrias Pro is Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark). The freshman had four birdies in route to a 7-over-par, 79.

Competing as an individual, freshman Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia) shot a 11-over-par, 83, in round one.

Situated among scenic marshlands and majestic live oaks with thirteen holes playing along the Wando River and Horlbeck Creek, this 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature course features exceptional year-round playing conditions with five sets of tees from 5100 yards to 7200 yards.  This is a true shot-maker's course; boasting tree-lined fairways, generous landing areas to setup approach shots, and multi-tiered greens guarded by bunkers and water. The fairways are ample, and the greens roll true. They are kept at a medium speed, befitting a resort course yet approachable enough for public play.Â

Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

The teams will play 18 holes on three consecutive days. Sunday's first round will begin with tee times beginning at 11:00 a.m. off holes No. 1 and No. 10. Monday's second round will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. and Tuesday's final round will have a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m.
