BIG EAST Names 83% of Pirate Student-Athletes All-Academic

The conference honored 230 student-athletes with the yearly academic honor.
NEW YORK - The BIG EAST Conference announced on Tuesday the 2022-23 BIG EAST All-Academic Team and 83% of all Seton Hall student-athletes were named to the team for posting a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the academic season. In all, 230 Pirates earned the prestigious academic distinction.
Nominations for the All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the BIG EAST's 11 member schools and five affiliate institutions. To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.
Seton Hall student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom with its overall cumulative grade point average now sitting at an impressive 3.493. In addition:
