
Pirates Garner Multiple Academic Honors from ITA

Tempe, Ariz. - Seton Hall tennis continues to shine in the classroom, as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) named the program to its Div. I Women's All-Academic Team and named six Pirates as Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced over the summer. Named Scholar-Athletes were graduating seniors Arina Gumerova and Aina Plana Ventosa, juniors Anastasia Petrova and Oliwia Kempinski and sophomores Arabella Moen and Hili Kronzon.
In order to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, tennis student-athletes must have a 3.5 GPA or higher during the academic year. For the program to be named to the All-Academic Team, the entire team must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
This is the 10th year in a row that the program has been named to the ITA's All-Academic team. Kempinski and Plana Ventosa are now a three-time honorees. Gumerova, Petrova, Kronzon and Moen are all now two-time honorees.
As a program, tennis finished 2022-23 with a 3.736 cumulative GPA, had a 3.672Â GPA in the academic year and posted a 3.772Â GPA in the Spring 2023 semester.
