- Seton Hall is 6-1 at Prudential Center this season and it's 82-63 (.566) all-time in Newark against BIG EAST competition.
- Seton Hall's last 2-1 start to BIG EAST play was the 2020-21 season and prior to that season it's best start to league was when the Pirates started 8-0 in 2019-20.
- The Pirates are coming off their second Quad 1 win of the season as they topped No. 23 Providence, 61-57, at Amica Mutual Pavilion on Wednesday.
- The Hall has now won back-to-back meetings against the Friars at the AMP, a building where Providence is 46-4 in its last 50 games.
- Dre Davis had a team-high 17 points, Kadary Richmond had a great all-around game with 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Dylan Addae-Wusu posted his first double-double as a Pirate with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
- Now the Pirates return to Newark and Prudential Center where they haven't played since Dec. 20 when Seton Hall defeated No. 5 UConn, 75-60.
- In both ranked victories, the Pirates held their opponent to 60 points or less and they held both teams to shooting percentages under 40 percent (UConn, 38 percent; Providence, 37 percent).
- Last week, Richmond was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season after averaging 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 6.0 steals per game against UConn and Xavier.

- Richmond ranks 20th nationally in steals with 33 and he leads the BIG EAST in both steals and steals per game (2.3 spg).
- In the loss at Xavier, Richmond tallied four more steals to go along with 13 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
- Seton Hall's win over the Huskies was its largest ever win over an AP top five ranked opponent.
- Seton Hall's defense turned in its best performance of the season, allowing UConn to shoot just 38 percent from the floor and 19 percent from three (4-of-21).
- After lacking a "marquee" victory through the first month of the season, Seton Hall picked up a Quad 2 win at Missouri and a Quad 1 win over UConn in back-to-back games.
- The Pirates are 13-23 all-time against Marquette and they're 11-12 against the Golden Eagles since the BIG EAST's reconfiguration in 2013-14.
- The Pirates have won six of the last 10 meetings.
- Shaheen Holloway and Marquette head coach Shaka Smart both took double-digit seeded teams to at least the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament with Holloway guiding 15th seeded Saint Peter's to the Elite Eight last season and Smart leading 11th seeded VCU to the Final Four in 2011.
- Davis is averaging 17.8 points on 50 percent shooting from three (6-of-12) and 4.8 rebounds per game over his last four games.
