Â

Location:Â Rehoboth Beach, Del.
Course:Â Rehoboth Beach Country Club
Course Vitals:Â Par-72, 6,169 yards
Dates:Â October 19-20, 2024
Â
The Course:
Rehoboth Beach Country Club is the best golf course on the Eastern Shore inspiring golfers of all skill levels. Offering multiple tees, sculpted greens and fairways, challenging bunkers and ponds, as spectacular views greet golfers at every turn. Its proximity to the Rehoboth Bay provides a variety of changing winds and weather conditions which influence and enhance the experience.
Rehoboth Beach Country Club was the first golf course in Delaware to receive the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary designation from Audubon International in 2001. It is described as helping "golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf." Being located in the fragile inland bay region, Rehoboth Beach Country Club embraces this effort and is proud to be one of only 906 courses world-wide to receive this designation.
Â
THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Delaware, the field is comprised of nine other teams including: Harvard, LIU, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Richmond, Yale and Youngstown State. BIG EAST opponents Georgetown and St. John's are also in the field.
Â
THE FORMAT:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.
Â
THE LINEUP:
Seton Hall will be bringing the entire team to compete at Delaware. The lineup and list of individuals is below, in order as indicated:
Individual:Â Lara Todorovic, Junior
Â
LAST TIME OUT:
Graduate student Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) broke the Seton Hall par-72, three-round tournament record and lifted the Pirates to a third-place finish at the Pirate Collegiate Classic.
A day after shooting a career-low, 66, Fouratt closed out her historic tournament with a 1-over-par, 73, on Tuesday. The Pirate captain had three birdies, 10 pars and an eagle on the par-4, No. 12 hole in which she sunk her second shot from 150 yards out. For the tournament, she tied for third among 63 individual golfers with a 6-under-par, 71-66-73-210.
Â
Collectively, Seton Hall had a third straight sub-300 round, finishing with an 11-over-par, 299, on Tuesday. The Hall tied for third with Georgetown in the field of 12 teams with a 21-over-par, 298-288-299-885. The Pirates finished only five strokes behind team champion, East Carolina. The Hall's 885 this week is tied for the fifth-best par-72, three-round team score in program history. It's an especially impressive feat considering the team was playing with only four golfers due to an illness on the team. All four Pirates had to count their scores for all three rounds, and the results were notable.Â
Â
LAST TIME AT REHOBOTH BEACH:
Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) shot a 6-over-par, 78, in round three to pace the Seton Hall women's golf team to an 11th place finish at the 2023 Lady Blue Hen Invitational at Rehoboth Beach, Del.
Â
Rane had a birdie and 11 pars to fuel a 6-over-par, 78, in Sunday's final round. She was the top Pirate performer for the tournament, tying for 29th place with a 16-over-par, 76-78-78-232. Delaware's Alisa Knokhlova won the individual title at 2-under-par. As a team, The Hall shot a 29-over-par, 317, in round three. For the tournament, it was 82-over-par with a 316-313-317-946. Harvard won the team title at 15-over-par. Fellow BIG EAST competitor, St. John's, finished at 74-over-par.
