Subasili Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Asli Subasili (Tekirdag, Turkiye) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Subasili had one of the best defensive weeks of her career in a pair of BIG EAST Conference matches last week. On Friday in a sweep of Georgetown, she had a season-high seven blocks to go with four kills and no attack errors. On Saturday, she added six more blocks to go with two service aces on the road at Butler. Subasili led the BIG EAST Conference last week with 1.86 blocks per set.Â

Marquette's Aubrey Hamilton was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Connecticut's Taylor Pannell earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors. Butler's Cora Taylor was the BIG EAST Setter of the Week and while the Bulldog's Alaleh Tolliver was BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Those joining Subasili on the Weekly Honor Roll include Connecticut's Doga Kutlu, Creighton's Ava Martin, Marquette's Yadhira Anchante and St. John's Erin Jones.

Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, Oct. 25 when it hosts Marquette. Match time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
