
Klungel Named Setter of the Week; SRN to Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Maddie Klungel (Napa, Calif.) was named BIG EAST Setter of the Week, while Senna Roberts-Navarro (Honolulu, Hawaii) earned Weekly Honor Roll status on Monday.

In a season of remarkable numbers for Klungel, the setter may have just had her best weekend of the year. On Friday against UConn, she had 31 assists, nine digs, three kills and two blocks in a strong all-around performance. In a sweep of Providence on Saturday, Klungel erupted for a match-high 33 assists to go with 11 digs, four kills and three blocks for her 10th double-double of the season. Her 10.67 assists per set last week was second-most in the conference.

Roberts-Navarro had one of the best weekends of her career, leading The Hall with 4.33 kills per set in a pair of Seton Hall sweeps. On Friday, she had a match-high 14 kills, only three attack errors and a .333 attack percentage. She also had seven digs, a block and an ace against the Huskies. On Saturday, Roberts-Navarro had a match-high 12 kills to go with eight digs in three victorious sets against Providence.

St. John's Erin Jones was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while the Red Storm's Rashanny Solano Smith earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors. Georgetown's Dionna Mitchell was BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Those joining Roberts-Navarro on the Weekly Honor Roll include Connecticut's Hanna Tylska, Georgetown's Emily Wen and both Ava Martin and Kendra Wait of Creighton.

Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, Nov. 15 when it travels to Omaha, Neb. to face BIG EAST champion Creighton. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
