Williams Named to BCGCA All-Freshman Team

NORMAN, OKLA. – Seton Hall rising sophomore Isaiah Williams (Flemington, N.J.) has been named to the Black College Golf Coaches Association (BCGCA) All-Freshman Team.

The BCGCA and Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) have partnered to present the third annual BCGCA Awards. The awards honor black college golfers from all backgrounds and across all divisions of college golf. Honors include the Adrian Stills Award (Black College Golfer of the Year), HBCU Golfer of the Year, BCGCA All-America Team, BCGCA and HBCU Outstanding Freshmen of the Year, BCGCA All-Freshmen Team, and BCGCA and HBCU Coaches of the Year.

Williams had a strong first year in South Orange for the Pirates. The freshman competed in four tournaments and recorded a 75.17 scoring average for the year with two sub-par rounds. While competing as an individual, Williams had a career-best performance with a 2-over-par, 74-70-74-218, at the Loyola Intercollegiate, February 25-27.
