
Williams Named to BCGCA All-Freshman Team

NORMAN, OKLA. – Seton Hall rising sophomore Isaiah Williams (Flemington, N.J.) has been named to the Black College Golf Coaches Association (BCGCA) All-Freshman Team.

The BCGCA and Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) have partnered to present the third annual BCGCA Awards. Â The awards honor black college golfers from all backgrounds and across all divisions of college golf. Â Honors include the Adrian Stills Award (Black College Golfer of the Year), HBCU Golfer of the Year, BCGCA All-America Team, BCGCA and HBCU Outstanding Freshmen of the Year, BCGCA All-Freshmen Team, and BCGCA and HBCU Coaches of the Year.

Williams had a strong first year in South Orange for the Pirates. The freshman competed in four tournaments and recorded a 75.17 scoring average for the year with two sub-par rounds. While competing as an individual, Williams had a career-best performance with a 2-over-par, 74-70-74-218, at the Loyola Intercollegiate, February 25-27.Â
