Campbell, Brooker, Coe and May Headline The Hall's Weekend at Navy

Annapolis, Md. - The Seton Hall women's tennis team took part in the highly competitive Navy Invitational and had numerous strong performances, headlined by sophomore Niamh Campbell reaching the championship round of the "E" flight and sophomore Imogen Brooker and freshmen Ellie Coe and Isabelle May capturing consolation final wins.
Campbell was dominant in the early rounds of the "E" singles flight, winning her quarterfinal against Ryan McCarthy of Mount St. Mary's and her semifinal against Bella Peters of Lehigh with matching scores of 6-1, 6-0. She lost the championship match to Towson's Chloe Courtnage, 6-4, 6-3.Â
Brooker, Coe and May all rebounded from difficult main bracket losses to win their respective consolation finals. Brooker and sophomore teammate Anastasia Sereda both won two "A" singles consolation matches en route to the final, where they faced off against each other with Brooker the victor, 4-2, 0-4, [10-6].
Coe won the "B" consolation final over Villanova's Lauren Monti in a hard-fought and tightly contested match, 5-4(5), 4-5(4), [11-9].
May won the "C" consolation bracket, battling back from first-set losses in the quarterfinals and semifinals and then taking the final over Villanova's Madeline Hills, 4-0, 4-2.
Seton Hall is back in action the weekend of Oct. 11-13 with some members of the team competing in the ITA Regionals, taking place in Philadelphia, and the remainder of the team competing in hidden duals at Wagner.
