
Pirates Host Siena in NCAA Tournamnet Opening Round

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – In its return to postseason play, Seton Hall men's soccer (7-3-7) will look to move on to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2020 when they take on the Siena Saints (9-4-5) at Owen T. Carroll Field in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday.
Match time is scheduled for 5 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

- Under Andreas Lindberg's guidance, the Pirates are competing in the NCAA Tournament for the third time in eight years.
- The Hall's last appearance came in 2022, when they fell to New Hampshire 2-1 on the road.
- In the 2020 COVID-shortened season, the Pirates made it all the way to the quarterfinals before falling to the No. 3 ranked national seed Indiana, 2-0.
- The last time the Pirates hosted an NCAA Tournament match was in 2005 when Hartwick visited South Orange. Seton Hall won that match 2-1
- This will be the 4th all-time matchup between the institutions.
- The Pirates hold a 3-0-0 record against the Saints, with the last matchup coming in 1950.
