
Lally Paces Pirates to Finish at Hal Williams Collegiate

MOBILE, ALA. – Junior David Lally (Wickow, Ireland) shot a 1-under-par, 70, to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team in the final round of the Hal Williams Collegiate at Magnolia Grove on Tuesday.

Lally had four birdies and 11 pars in route to his second sub-par round of the tournament. For the event, he tied for 44th place with a 2-over-par, 76-69-70-215.

Seton Hall's top golfer for the tournament was George Fricker (Woodbridge, England). The senior had a birdie and 14 pars to fuel a 2-over-par, 73, on Tuesday. For the three-round event, Fricker tied for 36th place among 75 individual golfers with a 1-over-par, 70-71-73-214.

SMU's Zachary Kingsland won the individual title at 14-under-par.

As a team, The Hall shot a 12-over-par, 296, in round three. For the tournament, the Pirates finished 13th in a highly-competitive field with a 16-over-par, 289-283-296-868.Â

SMU won the team title at 25-under-par.

Senior Patrick Kahanek (San Antonio, Texas) struggled a bit in round three, finishing with a 6-over-par, 77. For the tournament, he tied Lally for 44th place with a 2-over-par, 69-69-77-215.

Freshman Luke Nolan (Austin, Texas) tallied a 5-over-par, 76, on Tuesday. For the event, he was 11-over-par with a 74-74-76-224.

Rounding out the Pirates' lineup, freshman Will Hennessee (Tulsa, Okla.) shot an 8-over-par, 79, in round three. He finished the Williams Collegiate with a 21-over-par, 81-74-79-234.

Competing as an individual, Joshua Lee (Lantana, Texas) finished his tournament with a 1-over-par, 72, on Tuesday. Over the three rounds, he was 6-over-par with a 73-74-72-219.

The Crossings and Falls courses are also listed in Golf Digest's "Places to Play" as two of the nation's Great Value courses and as "America's Top 50 Affordable Courses."Â The topography at Magnolia Grove features creeks, marshland, and lakes with each of the 54 holes carved through indigenous hardwood and pine.
