Pirates Roll Past Sacred Heart, 4-1, for SHUpremacy

Paige Wise, Tamsin Hart, Isabelle Einess and Arabella Moen were all victorious for the Pirates.
"I continue to be impressed with how well our mindset is from start to finish in our matches this season, with today being no different," said head coach James Enzler. "We've really been working on doubles lately, and saw a lot of well-constructed points come from it; we just need to clean up a few things, and our doubles success will soon match our singles. Overall, our girls stuck to the game plan and were the more aggressive players for the majority of the matches, which is all I can ask for. In particular, Izzy (Isabelle Einess) did a phenomenal job of shrugging off lost points and focusing on the positives and the game plan needed to succeed."Â
Hart and Niamh Campbell were winners at No. 2 doubles, 7-6(7) over Olivia Kharkover and Malena del Omo, but the Pirates couldn't seal the deal on the other two courts.
But Seton Hall made quick work of Sacred Heart while playing clinch rules with the top three positions winning. Wise topped Ola Irla Bartyzel, 6-2, 6-2, in the No. 1 position while Hart dominated Aina Garriga Martinez, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2.Â
Einess was also dominant, playing at No. 3 and defeating Kharkover, 6-2, 6-0. Moen sealed victory for The Hall with a 6-1, 6-1 win over del Omo at No. 5.
Rachel Benoualid was tied with Kiah James in the No. 4 match at the time the Pirates clinched, and Campbell was in the middle of a third set against Olivia Zuba at No. 6.
Seton Hall is headed back to New Jersey for the back end of a day-night doubleheader and will host Fairfield at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness in New Providence, N.J., at 7 p.m.
