
Pirates Fall To Wagner on Senior Day

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – On Senior Day, Seton Hall women's swimming and diving fell to the Wagner Seahawks, 150-140.
Diving
Senior Amy Kugelman began Senior Day with a win, beating out Sarah Behrman for the top step with a score of 222.00.
On the one-meter, freshman Daphne Powell put up her second win of the season with a score of 219.37. Behrman came up right behind her with a score of 211.20.
Swimming
Opening the individual slate, distance swimmer Zeynep Aysoy secured a dominant victory in the 1000 freestyle, topping the event by nearly 40 seconds with a time of 10:44.88. Â She would also go on to secure second place in the 500 freestyle.
Later on, building off her strong close to 2025, Lindsay Naber won both the 100 backstroke (59.69) and 200 IM (2:07.84) by at least a second. Also, in the 200 backstroke, Bianka Bukovics finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.84. In addition to the pair, Naima Hazell capped off the Pirates' win tally for the day in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.55.
In addition to the wins, the Pirates secured a series of second places. In the 100 breaststroke, Yosun Hacifazioglu secured the second step with a time of 1:07.94. Hannah Pronk landed second place in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:14.19. Â Rounding out the collecting of seconds was Ella Drakulich, who landed in second in both the 200 IM (2:11.58) and 200 Breaststroke (2:27.60)
What's Next
The Pirates will continue the season when they play host to the UConn Huskies on Saturday, January 24. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
