The H.A.L.L. Program places a heavy importance on Leadership and building leaders in the community while they are student-athletes. The goal is for the student-athletes to take what they've learned, and their experiences, and make a difference in the community and the professional world after they graduate.
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

Some of the previous initiatives have been the annual Mary Jennings Spring Tournament, the Gatorade Pong Challenge with proceeds benefitting Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Challenge, where student-athletes make sandwiches for Eva's Kitchen, a soup kitchen in Newark, New Jersey.

Patrick M. and Mary Ann Pfaff Murray Leadership Forum
The Patrick M. and Mary Ann Pfaff Murray Leadership Forum is a specific example of promoting leadership among the student-athletes. For this event, the Seton Hall athletics department brings in business leaders who are at the top of their profession to provide insight on how they arrived at their current positions, provide advice, and inform the student-athletes on specific leadership traits that have helped them along the way. Some of the past speakers have been Michellene Davis, Joseph Torcivia, Hank D'Alessandro, Mary Ellen Clyne, Mark Ganton, Mary Beth Childs, Mike Tannenbaum, Al Kelly, John Sample, Joe Abbruzzese, Lisa LaBruno, Richard McMahon and Michael Lucciola.

Guest Speaker Series
Seton Hall athletics takes great pride in educating the student-athletes with exceptional internal programming. In addition to that, external speakers are also brought in to provide a unique perspective to the student-athletes. Many of these award-winning speakers cover a wide range of information that includes leadership development, drugs and alcohol education, personal branding via social media, financial management, and various career development workshops designed to prepare the student-athletes for life after graduation.
Sportsmanship
There is also the expectation that all student-athletes exhibit proper sportsmanship during competition. As per the BIG EAST Conference, student-Athletes, individuals employed by or associated with Seton Hall University and game officials shall conduct themselves with honesty and good sportsmanship. Their actions shall at all times reflect the high standards of honor and dignity that characterize participation in competitive sports in the collegiate setting.
