SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall women's basketball head coach Anthony Bozzella announced today the addition of UMass transfer Makennah White (Farrell, Pa.) to the program.Â
Â
White will have two years of NCAA eligibility remaining in South Orange.
Â
"What a huge addition for our program and family here at Seton Hall," Bozzella said. "Makennah has already proven herself as one of the best big kids on the East Coast and I know in the next two years she will develop into an even better player."
Â
White has been a valuable member of UMass' frontcourt for the last three seasons, serving as the team's sixth-woman as a junior in 2022-23. The 6-foot-2 forward has played in 84 career games, made 20 starts and averaged 19.4 minutes per game.
Â
Last season, White helped lead the Minutewomen to a 27-7 record and a WNIT berth. She averaged career-highs of 9.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while shooting .465 from the field and a team-best .824 from the free-throw line.  White registered a career-high 18 points, including a career-best nine made field goals at Harvard on Nov. 18. She also collected a pair of double-doubles last year.
