Davis finished fourth in the country in rebounding last year.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall women's basketball head coach Anthony Bozzella announced today the addition of Northern Illinois transfer A'Jah Davis (DeKalb, Ill.) to the program.Â
Â
Davis is a graduate transfer and will spend her final year of NCAA eligibility in South Orange.
Â
"We are so blessed to have A'Jah join our family here at Seton Hall," Bozzella said. "Not only are we getting a super person, we are getting an outstanding basketball player who gives us a tremendous presence on the floor both offensively and defensively."
Â
For four years, Davis has dominated the Mid-American Conference (MAC), twice being named to the All-MAC First Team. A fierce competitor on both sides of the floor, she's a rare talent that has recorded more than 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, while maintaining a .506 career field goal percentage.
Â
Last season, Davis led NIU with 16.2 points and 12.4 rebounds per game, the latter of which ranked fourth in the nation.  Additionally, the 6-foot-1 forward was second in the league with a .549 field goal percentage, and set two NIU records, career double-doubles with 54 and single-season rebounds with 396 this year. Named MAC Player of the Week twice last season, Davis is also a powerhouse in the classroom, being named to the All-MAC Academic Team three times and CSC Academic All-District last year.
