The 6-foot-3 forward led the Bonnies in scoring and rebounding and was second in the A-10 in blocked shots.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall women's basketball head coach Anthony Bozzella announced today the addition of St. Bonaventure transfer I'yanna Lops (Stamford, Conn.) to the program.Â
Â
Lops is a graduate transfer and will spend her final year of NCAA eligibility in South Orange.
Â
"Wow!  We are so excited to have I'yanna join our program," Bozzella said. "She's already a really good player and her potential is through the roof. Her impact on the offense and defensive ends will help us tremendously this year."
Â
Lops has been a versatile presence for St. Bonaventure for the last three years, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding as a senior. A long, 6-foot-3 forward, she has a penchant for blocking shots, ranking second in the Atlantic 10 Conference last season. Lops began her career as a freshman at Cal State Bakersfield, but has since played in 80 games, making 72 starts for the Bonnies.
Â
Lops led St. Bonaventure with 11.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last year. She also broke the Bonnies' single-season block record with 63 rejections. Her 124 career blocks rank second-most in program history. During the 2022-23 season, Lops averaged 34.5 minutes per game and topped 20 points four times with four double-doubles.
