The Hall welcomes the 2021-22 All-MAAC performer to South Orange.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall women's basketball head coach Anthony Bozzella announced today the addition of Manhattan transfer Brazil Harvey-Carr (Camden, N.J.) to the program.Â
Â
Harvey-Carr is a graduate transfer and will spend her final year of NCAA eligibility in South Orange.
Â
"I've known Brazil and her family for years," Bozzella said. "They're amazing people. When we saw Brazil in the portal, we knew this was a girl that we wanted to get very badly because of her accomplishments both on and off the court.  I know she's going to have an immediate impact for us and I can't wait to coach her."
Â
Harvey-Carr spent the first two years of her collegiate career at Rhode Island, but has blossomed over her last two seasons at Manhattan. The 6-foot-1 forward started 52 of 57 games for the Jaspers and was named to the All-MAAC Third Team during the 2021-22 season.Â
Â
Last season, Harvey-Carr started 22 of 26 games and averaged 9.2 points and 4.0 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per contest. An adept player both in the paint and on the perimeter, she led Manhattan with 41 made three-pointers, as well as an .848 free-throw percentage. Harvey-Carr set a career-high 27 points, including five made three-pointers, in the MAAC Championship semifinals against Niagara on March 10. As a result, she was named to the MAAC Championship All-Tournament Team.
