Seton Hall Wrestling Wins Two Against Drexel and Boston College

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The Seton Hall wrestling team improved to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the East Coast Wrestling Association with victories over Boston College and Drexel on Saturday at Walsh Gym.
The Pirates began with a 29-13 win over Boston College, taking seven matches from the Eagles. Sophomores Larry Smashey (Franklin, NJ) and Greg Sawyer (Franklinville, NJ) won by major decision at 157 and 197 pounds, respectively.
Seton Hall followed with a 21-16 victory over Drexel. Sawyer pinned Pat Miller in 1:45 at 197 pounds, while sophomore David Ilaria (Belleville, NJ) pinned Dan DiGirolamo. In 3:43 at 125 pounds.
Earlier in the day, Drexel defeated Boston College, 27-16, winning six matches.
Seton Hall will host Rutgers at 8 p.m. Jan. 20 in Walsh Gym.
