Katie Cronin Named Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Cronin recently returned to the United States from Israel, where she was playing professionally in Rishon for the top professional league in the country.
"We're very excited about having Katie join our program," Mangina said. "She comes from an outstanding winning background at Colorado State and has a great energy and enthusiasm for the game."
Cronin played at Colorado State from 1995-99, leading the Rams to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and a 33-3 record. She was named to the Kodak Honorable Mention All-America team as a senior and junior. She was also a three-time All-Western Athletic Conference First-Team performer.
Cronin scored 1,881 career points for the Rams and pulled down 857 rebounds. She finished her career second all-time at Colorado State in points, three-pointers (183) and steals (233) and third all-time in rebounds and blocked shots (61).
Cronin, who averaged 15.0 points and 6.9 rebounds for her career, was also named third-team All-America by the Women's Basketball News Service and an AP Honorable Mention All-America as a senior.
Cronin graduated from Colorado State in May of 2000 with a degree in sociology. She tried out for WNBA teams in Seattle and Portland last year as well as working as a color-commentator for the Colorado State women's basketball team on KIXX in Fort Collins, CO during the 1999-00 season. Cronin also owns extensive camp experience, having worked CSU's girls' basketball camps in each of the last five years.
At Seton Hall, Cronin will assume numerous duties, including film exchange, scouting and individual instruction. She currently resides in West New York, NJ.
