It marks the second consecutive week that Seton Hall has earned both awards.
Holloway, a 5-10 senior point guard, averaged 15.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the Pirates' 3-0 week. Holloway posted 12 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in Seton Hall's upset of fourth-ranked Syracuse. He also scored 14 in the overtime win at Rutgers and had 20 points in the win over Boston College.
Holloway is the team's third leading scorer with 13.0 points, while topping the team in rebounding (5.4) and assists (6.0).
It marks the first time in his career that Holloway has received the Player of the Week award. As a freshman in 1996-97, Holloway won the award four times.
Lane, a 6-4 sophomore guard, earns the Rookie of the Week award for the fifth time this season, and the second consecutive week. He averaged 14.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in the three games.
Lane, a top contender for the conference's Rookie of the Year award, is the Pirates' top scorer with his 15.0 average. He has made 41.3 percent of his three-point attempts and is shooting 44.7 percent from the field.
Seton Hall, now 18-4 and 10-2 in the BIG EAST, is ranked 23rd in today's Associated Press Poll and 25th by USA Today/ESPN.
