Holloway, a senior point guard, helped the Pirates to a berth in the NCAA Sweet 16 and a 22-10 final record. Holloway was the team's second leading scorer with 13.2 points per game and the second leading rebounder with a 5.1 average. The team co-captain led the Pirates with 5.6 assists per game while scoring double figures in 23 contests.
Holloway was a BIG EAST All-Conference 2nd Team selection in 1999-2000 and was named the conference's Most Improved Player. He enjoyed the best all-around season of his career, posting career best shooting percentages in all three categories - field goal (.447), three-point field goal (.403) and free throw (.780).
The senior connected for the biggest shot of his career, going the length of the court to convert a layup with 1.9 seconds remaining to give Seton Hall a 72-71 overtime win over Oregon in the NCAA First Round. Holloway injured his ankle early in the first half of the Pirates' win over Temple in the NCAA Second Round, causing him to miss the NCAA East Regional Semifinal against Oklahoma State.
Holloway finished his career with 1,588 points, which is the 11th highest total in school history. The point guard is Seton Hall's all-time leader in assists with 681, while ranking second among Pirates' career leaders with 231 steals.
