Ingram Leads Track & Field Into Action at ECAC Championships

BOSTON, MA (March 2, 2001)- Sophomore Bridgette Ingram (Maplewood, NJ) placed second in the Pentathlon competition to lead the Seton Hall Track & Field teams into action on the first day of the ECAC/IC4A Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, MA.
Ingram, the BIG EAST indoor champion, took second with 3583 total points only five points behind the champion, Se'verine Tanic of Morgan State.
Freshman Talise Manuel (Pittsburgh, PA) placed ninth with 2759 total points.
The Pentathlon competition was the only event scheduled for the first day of the ECAC/IC4A Championships. Tomorrow will be the finals of the pole vault, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 5000m. Preliminary trials for all other events will also take place tomorrow. Events will begin at 4:00pm with the pole vault competition.
The ECAC/IC4A Championships will conclude Sunday, March 4.
