Track & Field Teams Compete at James Madison Invitational

HARRISONBURG, VA - Senior Erica Broomfield (Markham, Ontario) won the 200 meter dash, junior Jana Burton (Jamaica, NY) won the shot put and the women's 4x400 meter relay team also took first as the Seton Hall men's and women's track and field teams competed at the James Madison Invitational in their final tuneup for the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships.
Broomfield ran a 23.99 in the 200 meters and Burton threw the shot put 15.41 meters, her best mark of the spring and an NCAA provisional distance. The 4x400 meter relay team ran a 3:43.67.
Junior Nolle Graham (Bronx, NY) took second in the 100 meters with a time of 11.47 and also ran in the 400 meter dash for the first time this season and finished second with an ECAC qualifying time of 54.35.

Senior Ken Nelson (Port Huron, MI) - 2nd in the 400 meters, 47.73
Junior Sheldon Melbourne (St. Catherine, Jamaica) - 3rd in the 800 meters, 1:51.14
Sophomore Jeff Young (Camden, NJ) - 2nd in the 110 meter hurdles, 14.44
