Swimming and Diving Competes in Day One of Patriot Invitational

FAIRFAX, VA.—The Seton Hall swimming and diving teams competed in the first day of events at the Patriot Invitational held at George Mason University on Friday. The teams had several outstanding performances.

The men’s team placed fifth in the 200 freestyle relay, composed of Angelo D’Errico, Mike LaRosa, Steve Falcone, and Tim Curran, timing 1:26.53. LaRosa also placed fifth in the 50 freestyle, where he timed 21.18.

The women’s team was led by Michelle Ducharme who placed seventh in the 500 freestyle, swimming 5:08.41. Senior co-captain Ashley Johnston placed eighth in the 200 individual medley (2:10.93).

The Seton Hall swimming and diving teams will continue the second day of competition on Saturday.
