Men's Basketball Television and Radio Schedule Announced

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. The Seton Hall men’s basketball team will have at least 17 regular-season games televised nationally or regionally in 2005-06, and once again each game will be heard on the radio on the flagship station for Seton Hall basketball, WABC 770 AM, or its affiliates ESPN Radio or Radio Disney, it was announced Wednesday.

Seton Hall will appear on the ESPN family of networks a total of four times during the regular season, highlighted by a Jan. 11 game against St. John’s on ESPN2. SHU will also appear twice on ESPN360, which is ESPN’s online video content player. All of the games in the BIG EAST Championship, March 7-10 at Madison Square Garden, will be on either ESPN or ESPN2. 

An additional 13 Pirate games will be seen in the New York market on the Madison Square Garden Network, the YES Network or Fox Sports New York. Seton Hall will appear on MSG seven times (at Providence 1/6; at Notre Dame 1/14; vs. Villanova 2/10; at Connecticut 2/14; at West Virginia 2/17; vs. Pittsburgh 2/19; at Louisville 3/4), on YES three times (vs. Penn State 12/9; at Rutgers 1/27; at Cincinnati 2/28) and on FSNY three times (vs. Rutgers 1/3; vs. Georgetown 1/19; vs. South Florida 2/24).

Veteran radio announcers Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin will return for their fourth season covering Pirate basketball for WABC 770 AM.  WABC will carry 15 games this season. WEPN, ESPN Radio 1050 AM will broadcast four, and Radio Disney WQEW 1560 AM will carry 10.

Every Seton Hall game will be webcast on SHUPirates.com, in addition to every home game and select road games being broadcast on WSOU 89.5 FM, Seton Hall student radio station.

Seton Hall Men's Basketball season tickets for its Continental Arena home games are now on sale and fans can call 973-275-HALL for more information. Two distinct six-game mini-ticket packages are also available by calling 1-877-SHU-HOOP. Individual game tickets go on sale November 1, 2006, and may be purchased through Ticketmaster or by visiting the Seton Hall University and Continental Airlines Arena box offices.

For the first time since 2000, the Pirates will host two exhibition games in Walsh Gymnasium, on the campus of Seton Hall University: Friday, November 3 vs. Bloomfield College, and Friday, December 15 vs. William Paterson University.
