
Men's Basketball Stifles St. Peter's, 80-60

Seton Hall took a 9-2 lead to start the first half, but St. Peter’s (2-4) outscored the Pirates 14-3 in a 5:36 span, to take their largest lead of the game at 22-16. The Pirates turned it around with an 11-0 run to make the score 27-22, as they went into the break leading, 35-30.
The Pirates came out strong in the second half, going on a 15-2 run to extend their lead to 50-32, with 14:23 remaining. At the 8:38 mark, a Nutter three-pointer gave Seton Hall their largest lead of the night at 62-42. The Peacocks tried to respond, going on a 9-0 run, to cut the deficit to 68-56, but an alley-oop from
Todd Sowell registered a double-double, with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Raul Orta led St. Peter’s with 15 points.
The Pirates face St. Mary’s at the Continental Airlines Arena on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 1:00 p.m.
