Swimming and Diving Earns Academic All-American Team Honors

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.The Seton Hall swimming and diving teams were honored with Academic All-American Team honors from the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the fall of 2006. There were a total of 335 teams honored from 221 schools.
The men’s team was ranked 48th nationally with a 2.975 GPA. Of BIG EAST schools, the men placed fourth. Syracuse was first in BIG EAST with a 3.07 GPA, placing 31st overall. Other BIG EAST schools honored includes: Notre Dame (37th; 3.039 GPA), Rutgers (46th; 2.987 GPA), Connecticut (50th; 2.595 GPA) and Pittsburgh (51st; 2.59).
The women’s team ranked 40th nationally with a 3.243 GPA. Of the BIG EAST schools, the team was second. Georgetown finished just four placed ahead of the Pirates at 36th with a 3.25 GPA. Other BIG EAST schools ranked includes: Syracuse (44th; 3.24 GPA), Cincinnati (49th; 3.210), Rutgers (61st; 3.165 GPA), Pittsburgh (67th; 3.12 GPA), Connecticut (83rd; 3.030 GPA), West Virginia (84th; 3.03 GPA),
The men’s team finished the 2007 season with a 8-2 dual meet record, while the women held a 6-3 record.
