SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. Seton Hall head coach Bobby Gonzalez announced Tuesday the signing of Mike Davis (Brooklyn, N.Y.) to attend Seton Hall University. 

The 6-foot-11, 255-pound Davis will bolster the Pirates’ frontcourt that was devastated by injury last season and depleted further by the graduation of seniors Grant Billmeier and Stan Gaines earlier this month.

“We are thrilled to add Mike as the final piece of a strong recruiting class,” said Gonzalez.  “He is a very versatile big man, has huge upside and gives us a legitimate center.  It has been a long recruitment, but Mike has been very loyal to us and we’ve been loyal to him.  He is a talented, tough kid and we think he has the chance to be a true success story here at Seton Hall.”

Davis is the sixth and final member of Gonzalez’s second recruiting class.  He’ll join Michael Glover, Jeremy Hazell, Austin Okosun, Brandon Walters and Chris Smith as Pirate newcomers this fall.
