Valcarcel Promoted to Men's Basketball Administrative Assistant

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. Seton Hall men’s basketball head coach Bobby Gonzalez has promoted former video coordinator Elvis Valcarcel to be the program’s new administrative assistant, it was announced on Friday.
This season will be Valcarcel’s second with Seton Hall as he spent last season as the team’s video coordinator. Coach Gonzalez is excited to present Elvis with this new challenge.
“It has always been a policy of mine to reward hard work and loyalty and I’m thrilled to give Elvis this opportunity to move up,” said Gonzalez. “He’s a young guy, but he has wisdom and experience beyond his years. Elvis did a phenomenal job as our film guy last season, but now will have new responsibilities in dealing with academics and the monitoring of players. He was born and raised in

“It’s bittersweet to lose some one like Shaheen, a close member of the Seton Hall family, but this is a wonderful opportunity for Elvis,” said Gonzalez. “So although we say goodbye to Shaheen, we’re very pleased to elevate Elvis.”
