
Brian Laing Named To NABC District 3 First Team

KANSAS CITY
The 6-foot-5 co-captain has led the Pirates to a 17-13 overall record and a berth in the BIG EAST Championship this season. He is averaging a conference second-best 19.1 points per game and has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll four times this season. On Nov. 26, Laing was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. A BIG EAST Player of the Year candidate, he ranks fourth in the conference in free-throw percentage (.821) and became the 34th player in Seton Hall history to record 1,000 career points. Currently, he ranks 23rd all-time with 1,291 points.

Selected and voted on by member coaches, the NABC selects 150 student-athletes from 15 districts to make up their first and second teams. These student athletes are now eligible for the State Farm Division I All-America teams to be announced on Saturday, April 5, at the 2008 NABC Convention in
