
Swimming and Diving Hires Kevin Mullaney As Assistant Coach

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. — The Seton Hall men’s and women’s swimming and diving program announced they have added Kevin Mullaney to their coaching staff for the 2008-09 season. Mullaney will join head coach Ron Farina, diving coach Mike Almasri, and volunteer assistant coach Peter Economou.
Mullaney joins the Pirates after serving as the volunteer assistant coach for The College of Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. While serving his position with their men’s and women’s swimming and diving team, he also held an administrative position in the areas of sports information, marketing, game operations, and the supervision of on campus Patriot League Championship Tournaments for several sports.
Prior to his time at The College of Holy Cross, the 2007 graduate of the college served as head coach for the Livingston Aquajets Swim Team for three years, as well as a volunteer assistant coach for the West Essex YMCA Swim Team.
The men’s and women’s swimming and diving team will begin their 2008-09 season on Saturday, October 11 at the Huskie Invitational in Storrs, Conn. The three-team tournament will include Seton Hall, Vermont, and Connecticut.
This season the Pirates will host two events at the Author E. Imperatore Natatorium on the campus of the Seton Hall University. On Thursday, November 6, they will take on Adelphi and Montclair State with the diving portion beginning at 5:00 p.m. and the swimming events set to start at 7:00 p.m. They will conclude their home events with senior day on Saturday, January 31, against Marist. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
