SETON HALL VS. THE CAA
The Pirates are 16-8 all-time against teams currently in the Colonial Athletic Association, including a 1-0 mark this year after last week's win at William and Mary. The Hall's next two opponents, Drexel and Hofstra, hail from the CAA.
CLIMBING THE CAREER CHARTS
With a total of 545, junior Kandice Green is 15 rebounds away from breaking into the top 20 all-time at Seton Hall. She is also up to sixth all-time in made free throws with 264, leaving her just six short of Patti Jaworski in fifth place. Green's 363 free throw attempts rank 11th at Seton Hall.
SIMMONS GOES THE DISTANCE
For the first time in her career, freshman Ka-Deidre Simmons played the full 40 minutes against St. John's. She finished the game with nine points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
ASHMEADE DOUBLES UP
Junior Tajay Ashmeade posted her first career double-double at St. John's with 10 points and 11 rebounds. She is second on the team in rebounding with 5.5 per game.
SEARCHING FOR THE COMBINATION
Through 10 games, Anne Donovan has rolled out nine different starting lineups for Seton Hall as she looks to establish her rotation. Against St. John's, Terry Green replaced the injured Jasmine Crew in the first five. It was the first time this year that Crew did not start, and with that, no Pirate has started every game.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Seton Hall closes out its six-game road trip at Drexel on Dec. 12. The Hall will then host six of its next seven games, beginning with Hofstra on Dec. 18.
CONFERENCE PLAY KICKS OFF
Seton Hall and St. John's met in their conference opener on Dec. 8, the earliest BIG EAST game for the Pirates since Dec. 5, 2006 at Providence. The contest marked the second-earliest game in a season between the schools, behind only a Dec. 2, 1997 match-up. With the loss, Seton Hall is now 11-18 all-time in both BIG EAST openers and BIG EAST road openers.
HISTORIC DAY FOR K. GREEN
Junior Kandice Green turned in one of the greatest individual performances in Pirates' history against William and Mary, setting new career-highs with 31 points and 23 rebounds. The 23 rebounds set a Kaplan Arena record and represent the second-highest single-game total in Seton Hall history, bested only by Ozelina Gorham's 25 against Scranton on Jan. 9, 1979. She is also tied for the best single-game performance in NCAA Division I this season with Victoria Dunlap of Kentucky and Kylie Kuhns of Sacramento State. The 31 points scored by Green tie her for the sixth-best single-game performance in school history, and her 13 made free throws and 18 free throw attempts are both the second-highest single-game totals in Pirates' history. She also tied the school record by playing 43 minutes.
HONOR ROLL FOR K. GREEN
After her standout performance at William and Mary, Kandice Green was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time of her career.
OVERTIME VICTORY
The Pirates defeated William and Mary in overtime, 73-67, in their first game that went past regulation since a 74-67 win at Saint Joseph's on Dec. 22, 2008. Seton Hall is now 16-9 all-time in overtime contests.
T. GREEN CATCHES FIRE
Sophomore Terry Green scored a career-high 21 points in just 18 minutes against Delaware State. Green shot 8-of-11 from the floor, including 4-of-6 from three-point territory. The eight made field goals and four threes were also career-highs.
BOARD WORK
A pair of Pirates set career-highs on the glass at Delaware State. Junior Tajay Ashmeade grabbed 11 rebounds, while sophomore Alexandra Maseko snared nine caroms. Seton Hall enjoyed a 45-34 edge in rebounds for the game.
JUNKANOO JAM NOTES
Seton Hall dropped both contests at the Junkanoo Jam in Freeport, Bahamas, falling to Boston College in the opening round and to Auburn in the consolation game. The Pirates struggled from the field in the first game against the Eagles, hitting just 25.0 percent for the day. Jasmine Crew and Ka-Deidre Simmons led the way with nine points each, with Nicosia Henry adding a career-high six off the bench. Against the Tigers of Auburn, the Hall committed 31 turnovers while shooting 31.4 percent. Alexandra Maseko netted a career-high eight points to tie Simmons for the team lead, and Tajay Ashmeade added six points and nine rebounds. The Pirates are now 0-4 all-time at the Junkanoo Jam, having also dropped a pair of games in 2003.
SECOND HALF RUN DOES IN ARMY
An 18-4 run in the second half keyed the Hall's victory over Army. The Pirates forced 27 turnovers in the game, which proved to be the difference. Jasmine Crew netted 16 points to lead Seton Hall, followed by Ka-Deidre Simmons with 12.
SETON HALL CLASSIC HISTORY
The Pirates are 15-5 all-time in the Seton Hall Classic with five tournament titles after this year's tournament. LSU claimed the 2010 title with a perfect 2-0 record, while the Pirates were second at 1-1.
GREEN DOUBLING UP
Kandice Green posted double-doubles in three straight games for Seton Hall. She started her streak with 15 points and 12 rebounds against Temple, followed by 10 points and 14 rebounds against LSU and 15 points and 13 boards against Massachusetts.

CREW AND GREEN STEP UP
Juniors Jasmine Crew and Kandice Green carried the offensive load as the Pirates took down Temple, 72-59. Crew led all players with 16 points, while Green posted a 15-point, 12-rebound double-double. Both players hit 9-of-12 free throw attempts.

In her first collegiate game, freshman guard Ka-Deidre Simmons led all players with 19 points, while tying for game-high honors with seven rebounds at Florida Gulf Coast. Simmons hit 7-of-12 field goals and 5-of-8 free throws, while also dishing out two assists in 29 minutes off the bench.
CREW SHINES
Junior guard Jasmine Crew, playing her first game for Seton Hall after transferring from Northeastern, had 17 points and three assists while making the start in the backcourt against Florida Gulf Coast. Crew was 6-for-14 from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line in a team-high 34 minutes.
WOOD ON THE FLOOR

CREW GAINS ELIGIBILITY
After sitting out the 2009-10 season upon transferring from Northeastern, Jasmine Crew will suit up for the first time in the blue and white of Seton Hall this season. Crew was a Second Team All-Colonial selection as a sophomore after leading the Huskies with 13.9 points and 3.2 assists.
SIX NEW FACES
Five freshman and one junior college transfer are new to the Seton Hall roster for the 2010-11 season. Tiffani Blackman, Nicosia Henry, Jazzmine Johnson, Ka-Deidre Simmons and Elaine Swaby make up the rookie class, while junior Tajay Ashmeade joins the program from Trinity Valley Junior College.
ASHMEADE REPRESENTS JAMAICA

Ashmeade was a major contributor on the team, turning in several strong performances including a 12-point, six-rebound effort in 35 minutes against Trinidad & Tobago.
DONOVAN SIGNS TWO FOR 2011-12
Seton Hall head women's basketball coach Anne Donovan has announced the signing of a pair of student-athletes to national letters of intent. Alexis Brown, a 5-foot 8-inch guard, and Chizoba Ekedigwe, a 6-foot 5-inch center, will join the Pirates in the fall of 2011. Brown has been a standout performer for one of the nation's top high school teams, Potter's House Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Fla. Fundamentally sound and noted for her aggressive play, she was co-MVP of her high school team as a junior while helping the squad to a 38-4 record and the National Christian School Athletic Association national championship. Brown, who plays for the eight-time defending Florida AAU champion Jacksonville Lady Rams, is a Sporting News honorable mention All-American. Ekedigwe averaged 10 points, 10 rebounds and over three blocks per game at St. Vincent Pallotti in Laurel, Md. She led the IAAM Conference with 82 blocks on the season. A versatile prospect, Ekedigwe played both forward and center for the Blue Star Maryland club team. She is a member of both the Spanish and National Honor Society, as well as the Varsity Club and the volleyball team.
