
Jeremy Hazell Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall senior Jeremy Hazell (Harlem, N.Y.) was named to this week's BIG EAST Conference Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Hazell averaged 19.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in week that saw Seton Hall go 2-0. Hazell, playing in only his fifth game since returning from a broken wrist, tied his season-high with a game-high 28 points in the Pirates' 90-68 shocking upset at #9 Syracuse last Tuesday. The 6-foot-5 guard was 5-for-10 from three-point range and pulled down a season-high nine rebounds to go with four steals. Against Providence on Sunday, Hazell scored 10 points and dished out a career-high six assists.
Also earning weekly honors, Louisville's Peyton Siva was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Connecticut's Jeremy Lamb was named Rookie of the Week. Those joining Hazell on the Weekly Honor Roll include: Austin Freeman of Georgetown, Jimmy Butler of Marquette, Ben Hansbrough of Notre Dame and Dwight Hardy of St. John's.
Hazell and the rest of the Pirates will return to action on Wednesday as they travel to West Virginia University. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
